Core Responsibilities

The Digital Platforms teams plays a meaningful role in the everyday life of LEGO® software engineers. Providing a variety of platforms as products with the goal of improving developer happiness and efficiency.

 

The competence areas in scope are: API Management and its ecosystem, Mobile Development, Design Systems and SAP.

  • This delivery responsible role will drive a “product culture” approach. By matching people and their skills to engineering product teams.
  • Being a co-leader on technology, architecture and engineering/functional practices as well as supporting product teams.
  • Assumes people leadership responsibilities for more technical proficiency areas, including mentor, driving personal development, and staffing.

Digital Technology is a broad engineering and architecture led organization with a shared purpose of using the shared capabilities of our engineers to build outstanding digital products. Do you have what it takes?

To be successful in this position, you will need to have deep technical knowledge and strong leadership within the competency areas and broad knowledge of all engineering disciplines – while the role does not expect that you can contribute as a hands-on engineer, you are likely to do so or even do it in your spare time.

 

Strong engineering experience and demonstrable knowledge of building a hard-working engineering team and culture, growing talents, coaching & advising, and leading from behind and underneath the team. An influencer and lighthouse that people want to follow.

 

Preference for working in and with teams, build strong relationships. Role model in a collaborative environment for teams and individuals enabling them to grow and release their potential.

 

Ability to operate both strategically and into the details - set the strategic and technical direction within your capability areas and ensure execution and adoption in close collaboration with main partners and technical interest groups and communities.

 

Natural drive supporting others to benefit from using modern practices and solutions, via the ability to communicate and influence on all levels from senior leadership levels/executive leadership to individual engineers.

 

Strong passion and commit to developing professional capabilities in the responsibility areas by defining and mastering professional engineering standards and work methodologies and training competency resources.

 

To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

  • 5-8 years of experience within similar competence areas and min. 3 years’ experience with a leadership role delivering digital platforms.
  • Experience in leading leaders.
  • Transformative, bias to action, takes initiative, recognizes, and acts on opportunities.
  • Thrives and contributes best to a team setting.

 

Advanced English (C1) both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered organization.
