The Principal Data Security Lead is responsible for architecting and embedding data security controls throughout the development lifecycle as well as driving the Data Security Platform concept to fruition. The role holder must be well versed in understanding data analytics, data democratisation, and data governance concepts as well as security concepts in a hybrid multi-cloud environment, and emerging technology standards and trends. The role holder also owns the data security strategy, design, and engineering to contribute to the development and operation of mature data security solutions in a “need-to-share” environment.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
  • Several years experience within Information Security and/or Data Security experience in a team leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate data security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work productively while remote and communicate effectively in virtual and cross-functional environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of protection solutions and technologies for Data Security as well as implementing and managing Data Security solutions
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;
  • Experience with Data Security in Cloud environments.
  • Experience utilising security and data governance best-practices for Data Security solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact expertly with a diverse group, executives, managers, and domain experts.
  • Have growth mindset, professional curiosity, and the ability to enable yourself in new technologies. Enthusiasm, resilience, and a positive attitude. Thrive by identifying high leverage work and doing it without explicit direction.
