This role needs to be with a traveling distance to London but allows more flexibility on location side as the team goes in only 1 day per week and can be flexible around that too. We would consider condensed hours and fulltime/near fulltime hours.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Capital Solutions Manager to join QBE Blue Ocean Re & Equator Re (BO&E’s) dynamic team.

In this role you'll support BO&E planning, forecasting, and actual reporting processes and will be developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate re-insurance portfolios.

Your new role

Reporting to BO&E’s Senior Capital Solutions Manager, you'll use your analytical and data interpretation skills to lead the data activities related to maintaining the transaction performance monitoring and reporting. You'll be experienced in financial modelling and preparing financial analysis and presentations to assist decision making.

Other responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounting reports for financial monitoring
  • Preparation of information to be shared with reinsurers
  • Supporting preparation of analysis and documentation to improve regular performance and monitoring processes
  • Preparing data room information, leading on all financial reconciliations and reviews of information provided by divisions
  • Preparing analysis on the P&L and Balance Sheet impacts

About you

To be successful as the Capital Solutions Manager you'll have experience within accounting, finance, actuarial, capital solutions, or risk, ideally in the insurance or financial services industry.

Other skills you'll need:

  • Experience with finance databases and software such as SQL, SAS, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel
  • Experience of financial aspects of capital solutions transactions
  • Chartered accountant with experience of working within insurance finance control
