The Asia Pacific CIB Chief Data Office (CDO) is a business centric team, part of the wider CIB Chief Data & Analytics Office (‘CDAO’) and is responsible for the execution of the data management strategy, ensuring data policies, governance and standards are applied consistently across Lines Of Businesses, legal entities and countries.
As an Executive Director for Strategic Data Governance within the Asia Pacific Corporate and Investment Bank Chief Data Office, you will be tasked with setting the data agenda and strategy for Hong Kong and Taiwan, ensuring alignment with global firm-wide policies and local regulatory requirements. Your role will involve promoting and enhancing data culture across the franchise, as well as developing data governance training in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the comprehensive Data program for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Job responsibilities
- Define the Hong Kong and Taiwan data agenda and strategy inline with global firmwide policies and local regulatory requirements
- Promote and improve awareness of data culture across the franchise and develop data governance training alongside Legal, Compliance and other stakeholders
- Establish and lead overall Hong Kong and Taiwan Data program
- Partner with Compliance, Government Relations, Office of Regulatory Affairs, Technology and Cybersecurity Policy and Partnerships to stay on top of data-related regulatory initiatives
- Partner with key stakeholders across Business and support functions on data related agenda
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 15+ years of business management, operations or legal and compliance experience within financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The candidate must be self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to work independently but not alone, in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with partners and other senior stakeholders to support the goals of the business
- Strong communication skills across platforms – emails, meeting facilitation, presentations, documentation
