Who we are:

Our Public Sector team has achieved some of the largest growth of both people and projects across NTT Data UK and this position represents a key role within this business unit.

NTT is an agile, innovative and extremely people focused company; it feels like a start-up but with serious backing and has the reputation of exceptional end-to-end solutions.

You'll be joining the 6th largest IT Service Provider, present in more than 50 countries. From our roots in Japan, NTT DATA's mission is to facilitate business change and technology transformation across many industries for a better future for our business, people and community.

Everything we do is underpinned by our core values of 'Clients First', 'Teamwork' and 'Foresight' and we achieve these by putting people first.

We support and celebrate our differences and preferences, these are what makes us unique. Some of our initiatives, collectively known as “DO Diversity”, aim to create a space for us to learn and get involved in building a truly diverse environment.

What you'll be doing:

We are looking for an experienced, pragmatic, personable and talented Technology consultant for one of our large UK Central Government client accounts. Domain-wise, you will be operating within one of the UK’s critical departments, supporting the delivery of digital, data and technology services.  You will be working with policing and public protection services (both central policing and national capability), as well as interacting with Homeland Security, wider national law enforcement and arms-length bodies.

You will ideally have technical knowledge and experience of Home Office systems and services, specifically related to cloud hosting, application integration, data management and custom application development.

Whilst we have multiple assignments in-flight with different team composition, in the main you will be in a team led by a Delivery Lead or Enterprise Architect and working alongside Data, Security, Business Analysts/Consultants.

The approach we take uses Agile when executing, demonstrating progress and seeking feedback though a series of sprints.  The work will look to bring insight and guidance to delivery teams or decision makers on technology architecture, technology selection and delivery approach.

You will be market aware and able to provide a balanced opinion on future technology direction whilst being pragmatic in the need to align to existing capabilities and work within the guard rails defined by a Reference Architecture.

What you'll need:

You will have strong technology consulting experience with a good understanding of cloud-based services (ideally AWS), along with;

  • Knowledge of working within an architectural framework (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Experience working with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), such as with Archimate and Sparx EA
  • Broad expertise of technologies and applications, such as integration and messaging services, ERP, CRM, online / digital services and be familiar with market research and emerging technology approaches
  • Excellent communication skills and strengths in producing high quality and accurate documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Adept in using a range of influencing styles to building strong sustainable relationships

...and finally:

The focus on Clients First, Teamwork and Foresight is in our DNA and we are looking for someone who shares and embodies these core values, leading by example.

We don't look for finished articles. We look for people who want to continue their career growth alongside NTT DATA 's.
