What you'll be doing:

Providing technical oversight for a multi-disciplined Data Applications managed service team, supporting a variety of cutting-edge data warehouse, analysis and reporting solutions. Ensuring contracted technical responsibilities are delivered to an exceptional standard, enabling stability and continuous transformation.

  • Exemplary written English and time-keeping skills
  • Experience of working in hybrid teams (onshore, nearshore, or offshore)
  • Working understanding of ITIL principles (Release, Change, Request, Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Capacity)
  • Working understanding of software development, application management and DevOps concepts
  • Practical understanding of end-to-end data journeys
  • Design and advocate for technical solutions to business problems
  • Capable of leading from the front, coordinating and owning the resolution of technical escalations in a multi-vendor environment
  • Strong technical stakeholder management and thought-leadership skills, capable of asking the 'right' questions
  • Working closely with Project & Architecture teams, to ensure smooth handover of new releases into the Data Applications managed service team, which includes the evaluating potential impacts to supported applications and coordinating knowledge transfers
  • Formulating and overseeing the maintenance of technical documentation, across the Data Applications managed service team
  • Influencing day-to-day task management within the Data Applications managed service team
  • Forward-thinking mindset, proactively identifying initiatives to strengthen technical delivery and improve ways of working
  • Working closely with the Service Delivery Manager on strategic service improvement initiatives, where required
  • Supporting the Service Delivery Manager in customer-facing meetings where technical representation is required

What you'll need:

  • Experience of working with Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server and Alteryx Connect.
  • Alteryx development skills:
    • Workflow development.
    • Various input/outputs methods.
    • Publishing workflows to the Gallery.
  • Alteryx administration:
    • General Gallery maintenance i.e., making sure the correct people have the correct permissions, removing inactive users etc.
    • Previous experience with upgrading/ patch upgrading both single-node and multi-node Alteryx services.
    • Creating new data connections within the service environment.
    • General maintenance of the virtual machines the service sits on i.e. setting up new connectivity, downloading new connector tools on the service, making sure hardware is up to spec etc.
    • Testing any changes to server/machines in lower environments and implementing in a production environment.
  • Desirable:
    • Python/R programming knowledge
