ABOUT THE JOB

Working within the Customer Data department, the Senior Data Analyst will support the delivery of existing and new initiatives across the customer operations area. There are positions open in the following areas:

  • Operations MI: We deliver key reports to the operational areas that both measure their day-to-day and high level KPIs tracking everything from answer rate and agent incentive, to policy sales and retention metrics
  • Contact MI: We are primarily interested in the customer contact journey, whether speaking to agents directly, or self-serving online, we drive performance and change through these systems to help personalise customers journeys to their individual needs, whilst optimising operational costs
  • Furthermore, we scrutinise the performance of existing journeys at a high level, analysing data to find inefficiencies in channels & journeys

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with management and business stakeholders, presenting analysis and insight
  • Highlight opportunities for improvement in customer journeys, identifying trends and forecasts to exploit for operations and customer benefit
  • Think creatively and identify ways to improve reporting, including better ways to present data
  • Maintain alignment with best practice use on analysis software such as Big Query, Looker and SAS
  • Manage workload of team, prioritising requests and ensuring that the team provides accurate analysis in a timely manner
  • This role involves line management, and the successful candidate will be required to work with the team manager in developing individuals, providing regular feedback, as well as setting clear goals and objectives within the team
  • Seek alternate data sources to inform the customer and contact strategy

Desired Experience:

  • Ability to analyse data and provide operational and strategic insight
  • Experience of providing data and analysis in a user friendly manner
  • Experience with managing or mentoring others, and supporting team members to improve their analytical skillsets and traits
  • Strong organisational skills to help manage workloads and prioritise tasks from a variety of stakeholders
  • Good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with presenting information and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Pro-active & collaborative in approach to work
  • Ability to work independently as well as able to feed into wider team work
