Job Description

The time has now come for a brand-new role which has been created here at Legal & General Affordable Homes for a Data Operations Manager. We have a significant volume of complex data sources and have embarked on a journey to transform that way we (and the sector) manage data. To help us do this, we need a passionate, experienced Data Manager to drive and deliver key components of our data strategy and BAU activity.

You will have a strong understanding of data integrity, quality and operations. You will also enjoy the challenge of working in a high-performing team with varied work and projects which collaborates with lots of people who have different areas of expertise. Within our Data Team we design, build and operationalise our data strategy. The Data Team has three constituent workstreams: Data Operations; Data Governance & Protection; and Data Science. This role manages Data Operations.

Qualifications

As part of your new role there will be several elements and responsibilities to which include the following.

  • Being accountable for ensuring all our data is within requisite integrity limits
  • You’ll be providing leadership on the promotion and education of best practice for data quality and controls in a pragmatic and agile manner
  • Building and maintaining robust control environments for all managed data sets, creating transparency and agile monitoring capabilities across Legal and General Affordable Homes
  • You’ll take the lead for developing and managing the Data Operations function which is building an operating framework that supports business-wide (and external) data consumers
  • Champion our drive to a data-led culture and lead a high performing team that provides excellent stakeholder and consumer support and delivery to unlock value for our data customers
  • Leading on innovation and continuous improvement of data quality and data sets, bringing statistical methods as a standard practice
  • Supporting and mentoring teams and internal business units and stakeholders in data management framework requirements, improvements and operationalisation
  • Leveraging agile ways of working to manage and deliver multiple projects effectively.
  • Working across multi-disciplined teams to ensure a track record of successful on time delivery (inclusive of projects). These include Data SMEs, Data Stewards, other enablement functions
