Data Enablement Analyst

Salary: £54,000 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Be responsible for driving increase in the value derived by BAE Systems through use of existing data products e.g. dashboards
- Gathering information about as-is data exploitation capability provisioned in BAE Systems including intended consumers and purpose
- Engaging with local data leads and the Benefits Reporting Lead to understand business value from data and any shortfall from expectation / potential
- Engaging with delivery and consumer teams to improve to shared data products / capabilities and their use
- Working to good practice and recommends improvements to relevant IM&T analytics processes, policies and standards
Your skills and experiences:
- Knowledge of what analytics (including advanced analytics concepts such as machine learning) is and how it can add value
- Understands concepts in data exploitation with key focus on associated business change
- Understands concepts in service provision and management
- Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. computer science, information systems, or a related study.)

The Team:
The role of the Data Centre of Expertise within Head Office is to enable and govern our use of data across BAE Systems, from data management and architecture to exploitation. Within that context the Data Exploitation team works to drive greater impact from our use of data, by exploiting more of it, by increasing the sophistication of that exploitation, and by working with data consumers to maximise the value to our operations from use of data products. This is a new and growing team, and this role will bring renewed focus to a critical aspect of our scope.
