Job Description

Data Services is an established team in the Delivery division of Lloyds Banking Group. It was created to be an easy-to-deal with and client focused specialist support unit that is fully aligned to the Client Centric Model.
Location: Bristol or Glasgow
Hybrid Working:
For many of our office based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites
*** The base salary banding for this role is £56,421 - £68,359, depending on experience - plus benefits outlined below ***
About the role:
The team works closely with colleagues across the Product and Coverage areas servicing Business Clients, and specialise in:
- You’ll deliver targeted data sets to support the Bank’s programme of client communications, including regulatory client mailings and marketing activities
- You’ll deliver ad-hoc requests & MI Development: Provision of a MI consultancy, a rapid response service to take care of quick fire and simple business questions and a service that provides client insight for more sophisticated business questions.
- You’ll be designing, production and delivery of focussed management information which informs business decision-making e.g. customer, competitor, and market insights (daily, weekly, monthly and on demand)
- You’ll be solving technical issues, analyse common issues and identify modifications needed in existing processes to meet changing user requirements
- You’ll be leading self & junior analysts on complex and high-profile data requests.

So what experience & skills do I need to apply?
It would be essential to have the following:
- The team predominantly utilise Teradata and SQL Server (inc SSRS, SSIS) for the interrogation of the Data Warehouses. Experience of using SQL tools and coding will be required for this role. In addition, an understanding of data structure, databases, and an awareness of LBG Data will be advantageous.
- Experience of working in an Analytics or MI team, manipulating large volumes of data and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Power BI and Excel would also be necessary.
- Delivers focused management information, e.g. customer, competitor and market insights; through research and data analysis which informs business decisions.
- Contribute to MI & Reporting’s team culture and that of Data Services as a whole
- Understand and comply with data security, privacy, records management and governance rules
- An individual with great attention to detail, excels under pressure, well organised and ability to meet timelines.
Desirables
- SQL/data manipulation experience highly desirable.
- Good awareness of the financial services marketplace and industry issues
- Previous people management experience is desirable as there may be line management responsibilities and there will be task / project management and associated responsibilities within this role.
