About the role
Sustainability in Haleon is of paramount importance to the organization. It is critical that we can effectively and accurately report on our ESG targets as they are closely linked to the company’s goals as well as performance. Addressing this complex enterprise-wide directive will require capturing, collaborating and delivering data solutions driven by numerous areas of the business (including supply chain, ESG, finance, procurement, legal and investor relations).
The ESG Agenda in Haleon is a key focus to ensure Haleon is able to effectively and accurately report on its ESG targets, which is of fundamental importance to Haleon performance. Sustainability is a complex area with interactions across ALL of Haleon both stakeholder and business units wise. Key business units will include ESG, QSC, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Investor Relations.
The responsibilities of a Sustainability Data Product Lead are to work in collaboration with the business to translate demands into implementable engineering and analytics demand and ensure the demand backlog that fulfils the strategic objectives, to assess, shape and deliver enterprise data products that represent all pillars of the Data Office. The role will report into the Head of Data Analytics Product.
The Sustainability Data Product Lead will play a key role in ensuring all business areas and stakeholders come together with a consolidated Data Delivery roadmap to effectively and efficiently deliver requirements. The role will support the robust use of data, that can be leveraged in a highly regulated and auditable environment.
- Consolidate oversight of sustainability data activities.
- Consolidate all data activities under one empowered leader (Insights, Quality, Assets, Governance) to ensure overall success in data
- Maintain sole accountability ownership of the development backlog which the Engineering and Analytics teams will deliver to.
- Interface / “two in a box” stakeholder relationship with peer roles in Sustainability related business domains.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring close alignment to Audit, External Regulatory and Legal requirements with no risk or violation against them.
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products that align with the company's overall goals and market trends
- Develop close working partnerships with the senior stakeholders from within the Sustainability team, fostering a product led mindset within the leadership teams
- Ensure all aspects of the Data Delivery lifecycle are considered when formulating a delivery plan, executing against Data Strategy principles. This includes everything from BI, Data Sciences, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Platforms and Data Architecture.
- Metrics and Analytics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of data products, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as an owner and gate keeper between technical teams and business stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, changes, and upcoming feature, and that delivery meets (with evidence and traceability) the business needs.
- Drive and foster a strong delivery mindset and culture supporting the structured and methodical delivery of plans with high degree of confidence.
- Ethical Judgment and Accountability: High ethical standards, integrity, and taking ownership of projects with a commitment to transparency and responsibility
- Engage closely with the Sustainability Enterprise Data Asset Owner to ensure use cases turn into key asset delivery, from use case pipelines to insights to action.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent.
- Proven experience of managing a data product management in a large organisation
- Proven Experience (7+ years) in product management or a related role with a focus on sustainability initiatives.
- Strong skills in developing product strategies, roadmaps, and managing product lifecycles.
- Highly structured and robust reporting delivery management methodologies using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha, SAFe
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure stack
- Working in a globally dispersed and matrix organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners.
