Senior Project Manager – Data Transformation
Location: Preston or Frimley

Salary: £57000+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Agreeing project approach with stakeholders, and preparing realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracking activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate
- Defining, documenting and carrying out projects alone or with a small team (without line responsibility), actively participating in all phases
- Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project. Applying appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
- Chairing delivery meetings for projects and tasks led by internal and external stakeholders, coordinating ‘time/cost/quality’ demands between stakeholders to drive efficient and effective delivery
- Consolidating spend data, producing resource forecasts in response to varying planning assumptions
- Preparing reporting dashboards and packs, provisioning of data and accurate reports to facilitate effective decision making – both ad hoc and in support of routine governance meetings
- Supporting and promoting the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundation / MSP / APM) with proven experience of successfully delivering projects
- A good understanding / experience of project delivery methodologies, including waterfall and agile, and associated delivery governance structures
- Experience in delivering business change
- Experience in managing project risks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence local organisation, suppliers, partners and peers
Desirable:
- Experience of working in an IT Function and/or with Data projects is not a pre requisite for this role but a passion for data-centric operations preferred

The Group CIO Team:
As a Senior Project Manager you will shape, plan, mobilise and lead internal and external projects within the data transformation portfolio. This will involve leading delivery meetings, coordinating ‘time/cost/quality’ demands between stakeholders to drive efficient and effective delivery. You’ll anticipate, track, and actively mitigate delivery risks and consolidate project status reporting, key milestones, risks and spend data, producing resource forecasts in response to varying planning assumptions.
