Do you want to be part of one of the core departments of the company, ultimately responsible for setting our prices and writing profitable business?

Pricing are looking for someone to help managed the risks we face, navigate the emerging changes and challenges in our regulatory landscape and to add value through assurance in key decision making for the business going forward.

The role will predominantly be focussed on the Household product, it reports to the Motor Pricing Governance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business by designing and implementing governance requirements. You should have previous experience in a governance area and/or will be happy to learn what is needed to support the department.

In an area that’s constantly developing, you’ll need the desire and ability to drive your own learning and understanding. Existing experience of our pricing practices and governance processes would be beneficial but isn’t essential, and pricing training will be provided.

Main Duties

  • Provide assurance that the Pricing Risk Management framework identifies, and sizes risks to enable the appropriate level of oversight and documents the required controls, ensuring Pricing staff at all levels are able to identify risks in their daily roles and help create a culture of good governance and risk management.
  • Ensure that the departments develop and monitor robust Management Information and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to monitor risk levels, and that they provide insightful commentary of key trends
  • Challenge the management to ensure that they implement appropriate oversight plans, ensuring that any required actions are carried forward
  • Build strong relationships with Procurement, Data Protection, Legal, Compliance, IT Security and other key stakeholders engaged in working with Pricing, helping to ensure that projects are completed smoothly and in a timely manner
  • Provide an outward and forward-looking perspective to assist Pricing leadership recognise and understand various external market and emerging risks, such as open finance developments, technology risk, etc

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues concisely to key stakeholders at various levels and in various forums
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to find creative solutions to support the business in the effective management of Risks and issues.
  • Strong connection to the outside world, understanding of various regulators’ expectations and industry trends
  • A balance of being both customer and commercially focused.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
