Senior Operations Engineer

Core Responsibilities
As our Senior Operations Engineer, you will support, maintain and develop the monitoring platform, including predictive maintenance dashboards and reporting on Elastic-stack, Terraform & Databricks. Furthermore, you will assist with change and Problem Management and be well versed in UX and ITSM and provide operational guidance and integrating with and developing in PagerDuty, Jira, Confluence, MKDocs & Collibra.

This team is passionate about designing, building and maintaining big data products, crafting solutions for all areas of the LEGO Group.
We operate in a data mesh architecture and our Data Platform product teams run the Data Platform as well as enable self-service of the platform for both Data Consumer and Producers.
We has a close relationship with the analytical teams to drive the data driven decision agenda, thus a broad mentality on cross-organizational alignment is necessary.
Do you have what it takes?
Ideally you have relevant background in engineering, computer science or equivalent experience. Having ITSM certifications such as ITIL is an advantage but not a must. You have few years' experience with developing complex monitoring environments, and we are looking forward to hear alternative stacks you are using at the moment. Furthermore, you have:
- Experience in AWS infrastructure.
- Experience in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Experience in infrastructure as code Chef/Terraform or similar Understanding of databases.
- Knowledge of containerized application with Docker, Kubernetes or similar.
- Knowledge of the following programming languages such as Javascript, Python, SQL and Scala will be advantageous.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Rstudio, Hue, Rancher.
- Experience in big data technologies such as DataBricks, Cloudera, Hadoop or similar.
- Experience in SSO with AD Experience in Kerboros Other cloud infrastructure such as Azure, Google Cloud platform or similar.
- Knowledge of automated ingestion of data with Nifi or similar.
- General programming experience
