Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- Own and/or support the lead data specialist delivering key initiatives across the team, regarding data products, data policies, and data strategies.
- Help ensure data integrity, -quality, and -scalability of the team’s data products on the LEGO Data Platform (data contracts, CI/CD, efficient techniques).
- Consistently champion best practices in data product development within the team, across LEGO Retail and with the broader analytics community.
- Partner with the Data Office to ensure platforms, tools & processes meet business needs; acting as inputters, collaborators, testers and/or ambassadors.
- Coach and support less technical members in the team to deliver the highest quality data products, in line with industry standards.
- Enable LEGO® Retail specific data understanding and champion data literacy via guidelines, training, drop-in sessions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

The department’s key focus is to enable self-service data products for LEGO® Retail data consumers and decision makers, helping shape data-driven actions both for operational optimisation purposes and tactical and strategical decision recommendations. The key collaborators of this role will be multifunctional in areas such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, Stores and e-Commerce.
This role is essential as we further invest in our digitization agenda and scale the LEGO® Data Platform to unlock the value from data across the LEGO® Group. In order to become truly data-driven, our first party retail and direct to consumer activity is the cornerstone to everything we do.
Do you have what it takes?
- Data Specialist, Data Solutions and/or Data Engineering experience
- Passion and curiosity for working with data
- Expert skills in SQL and/or Python or similar experience in manipulating large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Can provide technical context and direction, translating technical constraints / trade-offs to people within non-technical roles, including senior leadership.
- Hard-working, with ability to take ownership and accountability of large initiatives.
- Strong mentorship personality with a #OneTeam approach.
- Positive can-do mentality, with natural curiosity and bravery to challenge constructively.
- Willing to travel 10 days a year.
- Proficient English skills both verbal and written.
The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
