Job Description:
As a Senior Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our data, infrastructure, and pipelines. You will lead teams of skilled data engineers to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that support our retail operations, business analytics, and insights initiatives.
- Lead, manage and mentor teams of data engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
- Lead the delivery, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions to support business requirements, analytical and data science needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, analytics, technology, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that drive business value.
- Define and implement data engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Oversee the operation and monitoring of data systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of data products.
- Implement Agile and DevOps practices within the data engineering team to streamline development processes, improve collaboration, and accelerate delivery.
- Partner with technology and infrastructure teams to manage data platform infrastructure, cloud services, and governance initiatives.
- Drive data-driven continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging metrics and insights to optimize data engineering processes and drive business outcomes.
