Travel Insurance Data
Travel Insurance plays a key role within Admiral Insurance’s diversification strategy, with Pricing and Data being crucial to its success. With the ever-increasing volume, velocity, and variety of information available, Data plays a key role in navigating complexity to deliver insightful reporting, identify areas of improvement, and ensure the product is priced rationally, accurately, and fairly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Data Analyst:
- Lead, mentor, coach, and manage data analysts.
- Partner closely with stakeholders to deliver in-depth, actionable insights.
- Conduct advanced analyses on large datasets.
- Make data-driven recommendations to improve products, processes, and services.
- Work closely with Tech to report bugs and support functional signoffs.
- Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Maintain a high standard of data quality.
- Technical Senior Data Analyst:
- Ensure high standard of data quality for all data used in operations or analysis.
- Manage existing data pipelines.
- Support the evolution and development of business intelligence and pricing tools.
- Research and identify new data sources.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior colleagues.
- Conduct advanced data analysis on large datasets.
- Partner closely with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
- Make data-driven recommendations to improve products, processes, and services.
- Work closely with Tech to report bugs and support functional signoffs.
- Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
About You: Qualifications:
- A degree, 2:1 (or equivalent) or above in a STEM or strong numeric discipline.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of data and/or insurance processes.
- Experience in delivering business cases or leading change.
- Experience with supporting and mentoring others.
- Ability to analyze data and provide operational and strategic insight.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Pro-active & collaborative in approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to align data requirements to necessary outputs.
- Highly motivated and ability to work off your own initiative.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
Interview process
There will be a test as well as a two stage interview via Teams.
Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
