Job Description
Legal and General Asset Management’s Data Services Team are looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst to support on the quality and inception of the data which is fed into the retail arm to support investment decisioning.
The role would see you responsible for the quality and management of reference data, utilising tools such as Alteryx and python to ensure data is of the best quality, structured correctly and is flowing between the systems without issues from source to consumption.
What you’ll be doing
- Taking ownership for oversight and management of all intra-month and month end data quality checks/exceptions including asset reference data, cashflow data quality checks using tools such Alteryx and Python (Improver)
- Taking responsibility for follow-through to ensure the root cause of all data quality exceptions are analysed, identified, and resolved before month end
- Analysing, capturing, and sharing the outcome of the intra-month process by reporting to stakeholders the impact of the intra-month process on the month end

- Driving and documenting all aspect of the process for example SOPs/Standard operation models, Ops model, sharing and filing files used in the process
- Identifying potential risk in the intra-month process such as operational risk such as key man risk and mitigating them
- Leading, driving and proactively thinking of ways to make the process better and address challenges
Qualifications
- General Asset Management experience – understanding asset trade flows, Asset Management, and the roles they perform is desirable
- An understanding of Data Quality such as accuracy, consistency, completeness and timeliness
- Knowledge of data quality root cause analysis and able to investigate root cause of data quality exceptions by analysing data lineage and source systems
- Understanding of types of instruments/assets such as (Debt (Govt, Corp, M-Mkt, Muni, Mtge), Equity, Derivatives (OTC & ETD), Currency)
- Knowledge of Asset Data including reference, cashflow, positions, counterparty etc.
- Technical – use of Excel to intermediate level – preferably moving towards advanced
- Demonstrated experience of SQL for basic queries
- Relationship Management – experience of dealing with and manging client’s expectations
