The CRM Solutions team has a keen focus on looking for innovations and optimisations wherever possible to create solutions which are repeatable, scalable and efficient. In addition, the team plays a key role in delivering the new critical initiatives that will both accelerate our core business, as well as helping to launch and develop innovative new customer or provider focused propositions.
Why Our Role?
Our engineers will provide in-house expertise in data segmentation and configuration, API driven solution design using our marketing technology and scripting languages, and innovation within the MarTech space. They will also support in the creation of simple HTML emails, based on pre-existing templates, as well as co-owning the Data validation (SQL) and the QA processes. They need the capability to think strategically and will influence the direction of the company through their technical expertise.
As part of our company-wide strategy, we are currently updating and improving our CRM approach and technology along with our data platform, associated processes and solutions across the organisation. We moved from an approach that was based on batch data and required custom implementations for every new solution, towards a more realtime and more heavily events based data model with a focus on repeatable and scalable solution template creation.
Therefore, we need individuals who adopt a culture of innovation in how we use data for marketing.
What will you be doing?
- Be the face of MarTech within multi-functional agile product teams to identify and deliver projects that will drive product development.
- Lead on the design, delivery and documentation of repeatable, flexible and efficient campaign solutions within the Braze platform.
- Build on our cloud suppliers’ capabilities to create an agile framework of tools to update, personalise and deliver personalised messaging in real-time.
- Actively seek to improve team processes, tooling and practices
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing processes for reduced time to market, creation of replicable solution templates to support lower operating effort and greater scalability.
- Work with tech and data engineers and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our systems.
- Work closely with the commercial managers, CRM team, product owners, other team members, establishing relationships throughout the business.
- Able to balance long term and short term individual goals/initiatives, demonstrating consistently sound judgement
- Following best practices for communicating, documenting and testing.
- Mentor and develop the team
What do you need to excel in this role?
- Extensive experience using and developing on a CRM Platform (ideally Braze)
- Experience interacting with APIs to retrieve and push information (GET/POST/PUT).
- Understanding of CRM metrics and KPIs.
- Knowledge of email and messaging best practice, set-up and deliverability
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (ideally Liquid).
- Implement creative solutions to challenging business problems.
- Good understanding of data flows and data infrastructure, including the ability to work with data arrays and json formatted data.
- Advanced SQL knowledge used to build data processes and support with reporting
- Experience with various data transfer and configuration file formats such as CSV, JSON, XML.
- Understands JSON formatted data and knows how to manipulate it with code.
- Experience of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; identifying and communicating solutions in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
