Description: 

Responsibilities:

  • Determine whether to Retain, Replace, or Retire applications in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture. Oversee actions for retained or replaced applications.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions for new processes, tools, and technologies with minimal operational disruption.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders across the organisation to prioritise requirements and foster collaboration between IT and other departments, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Coordinate IT risk management efforts and collaborate on vulnerability and penetration testing remediation plans to safeguard the organisation's security posture.
  • Assess the current application documentation to identify areas for improvement, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing IT and business operations, recommending solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, refine, and track the backlog of applications, facilitating compliance checks, and escalate issues to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively. Conduct regular progress reviews to track project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Analyse findings related to data centre or cloud setups and create project plans, including cost estimation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree preferably in Computer engineering / IT, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences or similar qualification
  • 10+ years of experience in delivering IT or digital projects preferably in Financial Services or a regulated industry.
  • Successful coordination of complex project deliverables based on an understanding of the customer needs
  • Demonstrated personal organisational skills and ability to coordinate the efforts of others involved in the delivery of projects, including negotiating deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to work globally across businesses and international cultures to deliver results
  • Clear focus on internal customer satisfaction with an eye towards constant improvement and promoting efficiency changes.
  • High degree of drive to stay informed and current on industry trends in Insurance and IT.
  • Recognised as proactive and with high problem solving competence
