We are seeking a seasoned Senior Analytics Engineer. This is an integral role in our Data Democratisation BI & Analytics team. At its core, the role is responsible for understanding the Business Domain design, definition and measures and building comprehensive Business Layers by providing clean, tested, well-documented and well-modelled data models, that will support the drive of Self-service Analytics across the business.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer you will use groundbreaking technology on GCP BigQuery and DBT to build world class data models to surface data to the company.  You will work under the guidance of the Technical Lead within an Agile squad, and collaborate with other squad members, including but not limited to BI Specialists and Analysts.  You will be act as an SME for Analytics engineering within the BI & Analytics pillar and will ensure that practices are aligned to our Centre for Enablement principles and best practices, where you will be aligning and collaborating with a wider Analytics Engineering community.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Strong expertise in SQL and data modelling.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a standardised Business Layer.
  • Experience with designing and implementing ETL processes for data integration.
  • Proficient in acquiring and documenting data from various sources.
  • Collaborative approach to working with the Data Platform Team and Analytics Engineers.
