The Opportunity
We're hiring for Business Analyst who specialise in Duck Creek Reinsurance software on a full time, permanent basis. In this role, you'll act as the bridge between business and IT teams, analysing systems, processes, and solutions to uncover opportunities and challenges.
Please note formal interviews will be conducted WC 6th January 2025.
Your new role
Reporting to Global Business Lead you'll support business change initiatives by assessing needs, capturing requirements, designing solutions, and delivering results. You'll also continuously identify areas for improvement, driving efficiencies and fostering positive change in the analysis process.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, developers, and solution architects to implement business-led changes and support business objectives.
- Align initiatives with departmental and business unit vision, values, and strategy.
- Plan analysis activities, create detailed work breakdown plans, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
- Assist in developing project plans and budgets; manage analysis activities to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Work with the business to analyse problems and opportunities, challenge where necessary, and capture high-level requirements.
- Support analysis activities, including gathering requirements, creating process maps, defining business and technical requirements, addressing QA issues, assessing systems for improvements, collaborating on design specifications, and ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Support the project manager in validating test plans and/or creating a UAT model; facilitate user acceptance testing and report results.
- Support the implementation phase by applying knowledge used to create the solution.
- Regularly review and monitor risks and issues, make recommendations, and own risks related to analysis when delegated by the project manager.
- Manage and motivate business and project team resources, including third-party resources, to deliver analysis that meets business needs.
About you
With a problem-solving mindset, you'll inspire creativity and implement new ideas while specialising in areas such as process, data, business, or systems analysis to improve business procedures, workflows, and tools.
Skills you'll need:
- Previous experience on the Duck Creek Reinsurance platform
- Ability to accurately reflects on facts and maintains an objective
- Ability to identify potential issues and taking preventative or mitigating action in advance
- Competent in working within an Agile environment
- Skilled in managing stakeholder relationships, understanding drivers and needs
- Ability to understand, capture, and document requirements in a structured and efficient manner
- Capable of creating specifications/requirement documents for architects, developers, and testers
- Skilled in engaging with Business Representatives of all levels and communicating professionally
- Ability to challenge requirements or assumptions constructively while maintaining positive relationships
