Program Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated Program Manager to join Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS), the business-to-business (B2B) arm of Expedia Group (EG). We provide industry leading technology solutions powering thousands of partners across the globe with EG products. We are powered by the worlds travel platform enabling EPS to address almost every segment in the travel market from large online travel providers to your local high-street travel agent.

We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Project Delivery team, to work with a number of internal teams to deliver initiatives across our API and template solutions. You will be responsible for delivering initiatives on time and for ensuring all stakeholders are consulted and fully informed of delivery dates and solution details.

What you’ll do:

Project Management

  • Develop project schedule, defines timeframe, and prioritizes tasks to achieve project milestones and deliver intended objectives
  • Identify the type of resources required to support a project, and make recommendations for specific people, technology, partners, etc.
  • Monitor progress to meet project milestones, timelines, specifications and requirements
  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule
  • Proactively manage risk, working with the team to anticipate new risks and lead mitigation planning
  • Create, track, and report on project budget where relevant
  • Lead increasingly complex projects with some supervised work on ambiguous, adaptive programs
  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts  the project schedule
  • Build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders and influence timely decision making

Communication, presentation & influencing

  • Create clear, concise and organized communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
  • Consider and understand the audience’s specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language
  • Learn to use written and verbal communication skills to confidently convey technical and business concepts to mid-level management
  • Use data to support decision making

Stakeholder Management

  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule
  • Build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders and influence timely decision making
  • Gain stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their concerns to further long-term interests
  • Help customers explore and understand their wider business challenges in the context of the project/program
  • Build understanding of current business processes, objectives and challenges to suggest solutions and improvements

Who you are :

  • Have proven project management experience working with agile development teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • A high degree of competency with project management and methodology including: issue & risk identification, general management, tracking dependencies, user acceptance testing, and communication of overall project status.
  • Experience of working with multiple internal teams including development, product, marketing, sales, finance, customer support, legal and analytics.
  • Ability to facilitate the resolution of challenging business/technology problems.
  • Experience in driving resolving high level issues as well as lower level operational issues and simplifying explanation of technology issues.
