Procurement Analyst

The Opportunity

QBE Technology Services is looking to recruit an Analyst to join a well-established and successful IT Procurement team in our London office. As part of a fast-paced team, this role will support the work to develop IT sourcing plans for QBE’s Europe / International business working closely with the IT Procurement Manager and Global IT Sourcing team.

Your New Role

  • Generate MI and analytics to demonstrate effective control over the existing supply base as well as identify opportunities and improvements that can be investigated.
  • Own and manage the delivery of high-quality Procurement reporting into stakeholder and governance forums.
  • Monitor trends in the marketplace and the business, analysing external and internal data to deliver insight to the wider procurement team.
  • Support the delivery of activities to maximize savings, minimize risk and optimize the quality of service delivered from suppliers.
  • Support communication and training activities with stakeholders to ensure the end-to-end procurement lifecycle is understood and applied consistently.
  • Support effective supplier risk management in accordance with internal policy and relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including ensuring risk assessments are completed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business stakeholders by networking to understand business needs and  help in the identification of improvement opportunities

About You

  • Relevant experience managing external suppliers ideally in a corporate environment.
  • Skill in the handling of commercial relationships and negotiations with third parties
  • Skill in Excel including pivot tables, lookups preferred.
  •  Good and proven, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to competently handle budget data as it relates to third parties and draw out relevant insights / opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Completion of tasks attentively and thoroughly
  • Ability to work independently with competing priorities.
  • Seeks opportunities for individual growth and development.
