We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Lead to drive our Data Democratisation initiatives at Virgin Media O2. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Data Democratisation, this role will be pivotal in shaping the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of data democratisation solutions across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, representing Data Democratisation in various cross-functional settings, and mentoring other Technical Leads.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Extensive experience in technical roles focusing on data democratisation, analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Strong expertise in technical platforms such as DBT, Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, Atlan or similar tools.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable technical architectures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organisation.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching technical teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security principles.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
