Job title: Platform Data Lead - Everyday Banking
Salary: From £80,206 (depending upon location)
Location(s): Edinburgh, London or Manchester
Hours: Full time
Working pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
As Platform Data Lead (PDL) you’ll be responsible for driving data activity within the Everyday Banking (EDB) and Core Banking Platforms. You’ll optimise how data contributes to the delivery of our strategy, underpinned with effective data management and governance, whilst facilitating our contribution to the Group Data Strategy implementation.
The Platform Data Lead will support Platform Leadership – Business Platform Lead (BPL), Technology Platform Lead (TPL), Product Owners and Engineering Leads – by providing specialist support and advice on data and by assuming responsibility for data related accountabilities. The role forms part of Everday Banking’s extended leadership team, aligning the execution of the below responsibilities to wider Platform outcomes and ensuring data concerns and opportunities are addressed alongside those of business and technology.
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive a data led culture and prioritise strategically insourced capabilities:
- Implement and maintain robust Data Foundations with front to back controls, quality and governance:
- Enable the operation of fit for purpose, scalable applications, data platforms, and analytical tooling:
- Enable the delivery and distribution of data for The Group’s colleagues and customers:

What you’ll need
- Working understanding of data management practice and policies
- Experience with strategic group data technology, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services
- Experience creating value within complex business and technical environments
- Ability to create, maintain, and communicate a long-term change and Business strategy and roadmap
- Experienced in developing others through leadership and coaching
