Operations Apprentice
We are currently looking for an Operations Apprentice to be based in Manchester on a on a 24 month fixed term contract, reporting into the Head of Operations Management / Head of Underwriting Delivery.
As an Operations Apprentice at Munich Re, you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of business operations. This apprenticeship is designed to provide exposure to a wide range of critical business functions, while you work closely with experienced professionals who are dedicated to mentoring and guiding you throughout your apprenticeship.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with our key third party vendors, IT, Risk & Compliance and Central Procurement you will provide support and where required take ownership for any operational issues, from initial notification through to resolution.
- Understanding the end to end customer journey across the product lines we offer and distribution channels to enable a holistic view and oversight to support with analyses required including as is and to be process enhancement.
- Make a positive input into the team’s effectiveness, suggesting ways in which work systems and processes can be amended and improved.
- Entering data into the in-house S2000 underwriting system, pricing tools and other administration systems as required.
- Management and saving of documents.
- Support the clearing list and accumulation control process, as required.
- Working with colleagues internally and external partners to ensure reporting meets our requirements
- Collating of and reporting on operational risks within agreed timeframes
- Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
Knowledge and Skills
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships with other team members
- Ability and willingness to learn and understand established systems and processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passionate about excellent customer service .
- Ability to prioritise own work and manage workload.
