The Opportunity

QBE Europe is recruiting for a MDM Manager to join a well established Data COE team in our London Office. The Master & Reference Data Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a master and reference data management strategy and framework across all business functions and systems for QBE European Operations (EO). This role will establish effective processes to ensure reference data is managed effectively across the organisation. Establish standards, policies and procedures for master and reference data management and ensure organisational adherence. This role will lead on the implementation of a cost-effective, quick response unit and perform the role of the single coordination point across the organisation for master and reference data management activities.

 

Your new role

  • Lead development and embedment of the master and reference data management strategy and roadmap.
  • Engage business stakeholders to define business impact of poor master and reference data management in terms of cost, revenue and risk implications.
  • Responsible for master and reference data management policies, processes and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the QBE governance of master and reference data management.
  • Establish clear accountability and roles and responsibility for key teams involved in master
  • Manage reporting to governance forums, key stakeholders and management.
  • Apply effective communication strategies to ensure data quality standards are understood by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively coach and mentor the master and reference data team to ensure optimum adherence to data standards.
  • Ensure Master and Reference Data Management Policy is aligned to the Data Policy and to the Data Strategy.

 

About You

  • Strong Master Data Management experience.
  • Leadership experience in a data environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM tools and applications.
