Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Solutions Architect to join our team. The Lead Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions that meet the strategic objectives of our organisation. This role requires a deep understanding of Lean and agile practices, software architecture patterns and frameworks, cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Development

  • Lead the design of scalable, high-performance, and secure architecture solutions.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and technical documentation.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership, team leadership and mentorship to a team of solutions architects.
  • Ensure best practices in architecture, technical documentation and agile architecture governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide technical guidance and expertise.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Technology Strategy and Innovation

  • Act as a thought leader
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the architecture and technology landscape.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools that align with business goals.

Project Oversight and Governance

  • Oversee multiple projects/products, ensuring architectural consistency and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Be a key member of the Technical Design Authority.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with architectural principles and guidelines.
  • Manage risks and issues related to architecture and technical design.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture
  • Proven experience as a lead or senior solution architect in complex, enterprise-level environments.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Strong knowledge of in the Microsoft stack (Azure, M365) preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid experience of lean, agile and DevOps practices
  • Strong knowledge of IdentityGovernance (IAM) would be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in architecture or cloud technologies (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
