About the role
The Data Platform team builds and maintains our self-serve data platform for our international divisions. Seeking to better align ourselves with our organisation needs, we take a business domain-oriented approach to organising our data engineering and data products. Data domains are very broad across our business encompassing Retail, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Marketing, Product, Merchandising, Opticians etc
As a Lead Release Train Engineer, you will report to the Data Platform Director and line manage Business Data Analysts, Release Train Engineers and Scrum Masters. You will be responsible for leading the strategy and operating model for the release train process, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality data products. You will lead and coordinate multiple agile teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration ensuring best practises are established and followed.
What you’ll need to have

- Experience of leading the release train process, coordinating with multiple agile teams.
- Expert understanding of Agile and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience of mentoring and coaching team members, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
- Experience of line management or team leadership

- Experience of working in a data environment
- SAFe Practice Consultant certified
- Experience of project delivery & commercial awareness
- Experience of working as a Business Analyst / leading Business Analysts.
