We are seeking a passionate Engineer who will provide technical expertise, supports application lifecycles, and operate with excellence. Being creative, curious, and confident, you will be an integral part of our empowered, autonomous, cross-disciplinary engineering teams and will pay a key role in design, develop, and maintaining robust scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in cloud-based technologies and data management will be instrumental in optimising data workflows and ensure high data availability and reliability

You will play a vital role in driving data-driven decision-making and shaping the organisations data infrastructure for future growth and success. Your passion for innovative technologies, attention to detail and commitment to data excellence will be key in delivering high quality data solutions.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, secure data platform infrastructure using Azure Services
  • Monitor and optimise performance of compute, storage solutions across the overall platform
  • Implement and be responsible for CI/CD deployments for data infrastructure and deployments
  • Respond to and resolve incidents related to the data platform
  • Monitor and be responsible for the cost of Azure resources and drive optimisation opportunities
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve the data platform
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate data solutions with other business systems and applications

Who you are

  • Articulable knowledge of Azure services, such as Data Lake Storage, Azure Compute, Azure Databricks
  • Demonstrable experience with DevOps practices, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for Infrastructure Automation
  • Understanding of security best practices in Azure, identity and access management, network security, and encryption
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solve issues and optimise data solutions
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly
  • Curious and can actively seek out new ways to enhance the data platform, stay informed of industry trends, and experiment with innovative solutions
