Lead Data Engineer – Dynamic Content Optimisation

Then we have a match! We're on the lookout for a lead software engineer who enjoys system architecture to become part of building a Dynamic Content Optimization (DCO) product that will ensure that the LEGO Group can serve the right personalized ad, for the right user, at the right time!
Dynamic Content Optimization (DCO) involves going beyond traditional online marketing campaigns. It uses modern technologies for fine-tuning, optimization, and learning throughout the campaign. As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll inspire the engineering team to build the right technical architecture, APIs, and integrations for our data strategy and digital products, working closely with the product manager and designer.
We're building a product that can:
Automate building, designing, and scaling creative content combinations Leverage a multitude of data sources to inform the DCO decisioning engine. real time optimization on performing creative combinations and budget re-allocation. Deliver transparent reporting and actional findings across campaigns

As the lead engineer, you'll oversee the entire architecture, ensuring comprehensive assessment, design, optimization, and governance. Demonstrating your technological expertise and deep understanding of content optimization data, you'll drive the delivery of the architecture, while also mentoring and guiding fellow engineers to ensure alignment to standard processes and teamwork
Your role will significantly impact our content creator workflows and enhance visibility for our global content teams. You will play a key part in shaping data governance and developing an overarching strategy for using both first-party and third-party data in content optimization campaigns.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive collaboration with multi-functional teams and partner engineering teams to inform data strategy, governance, and system designs.
- Architect a new content optimization data ingestion pipeline, storage solution, taxonomy, and support partner teams in building visualizations.
- Passion for creating new solutions and new opportunities to use data.
- Capability to work across tech stacks (new and old) with the end goal of modernizing content optimization workflows.
To succeed in this role, you already have some of the following:
- Experience in the definition of building a modern omnichannel architecture across mobile, web, CRM, content optimization, contact center, 3rd party distribution, and back-office integration.
- Proficient in architecting solutions in collaboration with self-organizing agile teams.
- Experience building data pipelines using Spark, SQL, or DBT.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages like Python or Go.
- Expertise in leading and designing solutions on AWS using IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Preferred familiarity with Adtech and the RTB ecosystem.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
