About the Team and Role

The Change Team is built upon the success of delivering the first two years of foundation platform & process implementation for Inigo, whilst proving the value of the consistent application of a supporting change governance framework. We are now looking to evolve this team to enable the business to identify and deliver new opportunities & innovation that will provide value to the business and enhance how it operates.

This will be achieved by creating verticals of change professionals aligned with particular business segments, ensuring the skills and capacity of each vertical are tuned to meet the segment’s needs. The partnerships formed will enable deeper domain knowledge which in turn can be leveraged to drive innovative change value adoption.

Once established, this team should feel empowered to contribute towards their segments strategic goals which in turn directly support the ambitions of Inigo.

Role Summary

The Lead Business Analyst is accountable for understanding and assessing the changing needs of the business, whilst being able to convey these needs, requirements, and solutions to different departments. Key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting the alignment of the portfolio of change with the vision and strategy, ensuring BA capacity and knowledge to support.
  • Leading a team of Business Analysts within the Data, Analytics & Pricing change team, providing guidance, support, and ensuring deep domain knowledge is built/shared.
  • Bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, using clear communication to gain agreement.
  • Championing consistent analysis practice and documentation approaches.
  • Supporting a healthy pipeline of R&D and Innovation exploration aimed to support the Data, Analytics & Pricing business segment and wider Inigo team’s success.
  • Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Assess proposals for change and define solutions to help the organisation achieve its goals.
  • Discover, organize, clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change.
  • Work with the architecture and delivery teams to ensure they understand the specifications.
  • Work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan.
  • Conduct business process modelling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.

The successful candidate will do this by:

  • Positioning and selling solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and “plug” the appropriate solution.
  • Continually forward-thinking and being resourceful to skirt red tape and ensure solutions are brought to fruition and requirements are closed properly.
  • Problem solving, applying methodologies such as Unified Modelling Language and Rational Unified Process, to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation.
  • Deploying people skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.
  • Developing proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, JAD/RAD sessions, use case development, process flow diagrams.
  • Supporting the development of proposals and business cases for change initiatives by determining solution options, and assisting in articulating benefits.
  • Utilising industry experience and external trends to advise others on how to best meet Inigo’s current and future needs.

To do this, we’re going to need you to bring:

  • Strong leadership experience with a desire to motive and develop a high performing team of business analysts.
  • Solid experience working within the full lifecycle of projects, from mobilization, requirements elicitation, delivery, testing, release, organisation change management, transition and post go-live activities.
  • Experience working in project delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile or hybrid approaches.
  • Ability to work effectively with virtual and hybrid teams.
  • Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal form.
  • Strong relationship management skills across project teams and senior stakeholders, with proven organisational skills combined with strong meeting facilitation skills.
  • Detail orientated, process driven, logical and analytical thinker.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Self-starter and self-learner, with an ability to motivate others.
  • Experience of operating within the Insurance sector with London Market experience desirable.
