The Opportunity: 

This is a great opportunity for you to join QBE’s Group Cyber Security team as a Cyber Security Operations Senior Manager. The role will be responsible for uplifting delivery maturity, efficiency, and quality across our Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) in multiple locations, with people, process and technologies in mind. You will be accountable for establishing service management disciplines and help Global Security Operations to set and deliver on performance commitments made to senior leadership and stakeholders, in a transparent and collaborative manner.

Your new role: 

  • Mature GSOC processes and capabilities, in accordance with an industry framework, to target milestones and goals.
  • Continually optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness, managing people and technology dependencies as required.
  • Manage the security operation in line with its reporting and outcome commitments for both divisional and enterprise accountabilities.
  • Be accountable for the development of the governance framework and driving improvements to its people, technology, and processes for GSOC.
  • Analyse and evaluate operational data and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal polices for security operations.
  • Support the Global Head of Security Operations in fulfilling strategic goals, tactical deliverables, and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage overall risk and governance for security operations, by helping drive the identification, assessment and mitigation of the risks related to service delivery and security operations.

About you:

  • A forward-thinking professional with a proven track record of driving high performance standards.
  • Providing clear direction and empowering a diverse team of operational managers to achieve results through effective people management.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business and lead through deep collaboration across the business.
  • Proficient in security operations situations with exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Skilled in streamlining processes and implementing effective structures to enhance speed and efficiency while adapting to dynamic business demands.
  • Mentoring and coaching operational leaders to create a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving work culture.
  • Proven & demonstrable change management skills, comfortable with initiating and delivering change to enable a resilient security operations function.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
