To identify, build and deliver insight and analysis to the Functional Leadership team and key business stakeholders relating to the market, driving decision making. You will implement this through a data led approach providing recommendations which are aligned to the corporate strategy.

 

Your role:

  • Be a key driver of insight, modelling & analytics across the function and wider business providing a data led approach to decision making and strategic priorities
  • Proactively set/identify analytics, modelling and insight opportunities, enabling the business leadership teams to make informed decisions in line with the core strategy
  • Support business stakeholders by leading timely and robust insight, utilising latest market data and store performance trends
  • Manage ad hoc analytics within the team and spot opportunities for growth through value driven data initiatives
  • Bring recommendations to life, through a range of interactive dashboards, reporting tools and insight papers
  • Utilise latest data, insight and analysis tools to continually evolve our learnings and recommendations
  • Manage projects from start to completion driving timelines and deliverables whilst owning the build process
  • Lead a team of analysts supporting their personal and technical development
  • Build stakeholder relationships by delivering with integrity and leadership
  • Lead best practice by formalising the service delivered and where appropriate using established analytical techniques to ensure integrity of outputs

 

About you:

  • Confident querying and obtaining large geospatial datasets (through SQL, Azure or equivalent)
  • Comprehensive knowledge or previous background in geospatial analytical/data modelling techniques.
  • Capable of manipulating and transforming these datasets to ingest into a model (e.g. through Alteryx, SQL or equivalent).
  • Creating data led actionable insight through strategic alignment and clear recommendations
  • Capable of working with large data sets and manipulation through various techniques
  • General knowledge or background in analytical/data science modelling techniques
  • Desirable – knowledge of the retail landscape and competitive market
  • Data visualisation – PowerBi or equivalent
  • Directly motivate your team whilst also acting with leadership to indirectly motivate those in the wider function
  • Capable of working with non-technical end users to interrogate a business process or current tool to understand requirements and opportunities
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, create and scope clear project deliverables as
