The Department
There is no time to lose! Our scientists are working hard on a global collaboration on identifying new drugs for patients with severe chronical diseases, and they need cutting edge cloud technology to help them with compute, data sharing, data vizualisation - and everything else in between! As a front-end developer, you ’ ll be working in close collaboration with our scientists in a diverse, inclusive and fun team, bound together by their mutual desire to enable our scientists to do what they do best, and push the envelope on drug discovery!
R&ED is by nature creative and innovative, so you are using your autonomous drive to communicate with our scientists and translating their requirements into technical requirements, understanding what would make a great UX, and discussing them with the team. You are using your autonomous drive to research technologies and build value-driven and innovative solutions from the ground up! Your creativity and curiosity are celebrated and nurtured, and your rigour and method empowers research with solid digital tools to accelerate drug discovery!
We are looking to hire in the following locations: Oxford , England, UK & London , England, UK.
The Position
We're hiring engineers who are passionate about solving real-world problems and empowering scientists and researchers to do their work optimally. Some examples of the types of product work you’d get to do are:
• Developing interactive workflow UIs with great UX
• Building products which aim to aid our scientists' decision-making process
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we’re searching for developers ready to bring their unique personality together with a background in Software Engineering/Computer Science, or fields such as Electric Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc. Our engineers use and mentor on using the following technologies:
• Development environment
• CICD, DevOps, Agile, MLP (L stands for Loveable!), TDD, BDD
• Shell scripting (GNU, UNIX, WSL, DOS ) and CLI apps
• Universal programming languages like java, C#, C++, python, TS, JS, …
• Frontend frameworks like react, vue, angular
• Great attention to human-machine interfaces and UX
• Documentation
• Good Software Design & Development Principles
