Enterprise Data Architect

Salary: £115k+ dependent on skills and experiences plus executive benefits

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the data architecture community and is a leader in the Group Centre of Expertise for data
- Developing, maintaining and communicating the Enterprise Data Architecture Strategy, together with the reference architecture and roadmaps for progression towards target state
- Collaborating across Enterprise Architecture to ensure coherent strategy and delivery of solutions required to allow the business to meet its strategic and tactical goals
- Supporting data architecture implementation, assurance and compliance across the organisation, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation
- Authority and accountability for actions and decisions for data architecture, including technical and quality aspects
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to facilitate effective evaluation of solutions to business needs, and working proactively and independently to articulating issues/challenges and supporting resolution
Your skills and experiences:
Essential skills:
- Proven experience in data/information architecture or equivalent roles
- Familiarity with industry-standard system integration and data modelling patterns, and frameworks such as ITL, DAMA/DMBOK and TOGAF and familiarity with metadata management practices
- Experience with cloud technologies, including multi-cloud and hybrid architectures
- Experience of working in a multi-region highly regulated industry
- Experience of leading through change, in a matrix/hub-and-spoke model, without direct line management control
Desirable skills:
- Understanding of the defence landscape
- Certified in appropriate ITIL, TOGAF and/or DAMA foundation and specialist knowledge areas (or equivalents)
- Knowledge of working within a product-based delivery model
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience (e.g. computer science, information systems, or a related study)
