Job Description

Legal and General’s Group Data and Analytics team are hiring for a Digital Analytics Manager to take responsibility for enhancing the performance and capabilities of the insight and customer journey optimisation services offered by the Group Digital Analytics team.

Managing a small team, you will work alongside the Digital Analytics Manager for digital implementation and with stakeholders across the business to develop solutions for better understanding and improving customer engagement. Through identifying and implementing strategies that leverage customer data, you will work to improve insight capabilities and scale the use and availability of digital data insight, with the aim of supporting and facilitating the business objectives of our internal customers.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting the Head of Database Marketing to define, deliver and communicate digital analytics strategy and associated governance, processes, and practices across the L&G group.
  • Acting as the SME and evangelist for digital data and analytics best practice, promoting opportunities to improve our customers’ digital experiences through compelling communication of the value of digital analytics with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Acting as the product owner for core digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch, Glassbox OneTrust, Observepoint) ensuring that the appropriate governance processes are followed, the right training is in place and that digital assets are maintained and optimised to create maximum return for the business and meet the needs of business users.
  • Exploring new tools, applications, and ways of working to improve the digital analytics services, and to create valuable insight for the business.
  • Creating and supporting use cases for continual improvement in the digital analytics space, and where required writing business cases, to drive a culture of innovation and cutting-edge analytics.
  • Promoting a community and culture of best practice in digital data and analytics while defining and embedding cost-effective solutions which are scalable, standardised, easily automatable and adhere to governance and group policy standards.
  • Collaborating with different teams and divisions across L&G, including front-end-developers, marketers, and data analysts to ensure that analytics data is captured consistently and compliantly, and that governance is adhered to accordingly.
  • Analysing feedback from all sources to ensure that customers’ reasonable expectations of performance and service of digital journeys and experiences are met, and good customer outcomes delivered.
  • Coaching and managing a team of digital analysts in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, so that the team’s business objectives are achieved consistently.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • An expert understanding of digital analytics platforms & Product/UX analytics
  • Knowledge of MVT tools and Tag Management Systems
  • Knowledge of customer databases to present accurate and accessible data
  • Familiarity with BI reporting and data visualisation tools e.g., PowerBI
  • Understanding of data governance and regulatory processes, especially within large, complex organisations
  • Track record of success in a driving improvement in a digital analytics team
  • Experience of working in Agile environments
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated experience of communicating actionable insight and complex subject matters to stakeholders and audiences with varying levels of understanding
  • Experience of working within a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated experience of managing multiple stakeholders with varying priorities
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and leading a team
  • Knowledge of setting strategic direction to improve quality and efficiency of team
  • Experience of budget management
