Job description
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will have a good understanding of the enterprise and business architecture arena and be able to work in highly complex problem spaces, typically spanning multiple products or services. You will have the required knowledge and skills in Business Analysis and Modelling, Agile working, and Business Process Testing.
You will have a track record of working across boundaries within a highly complex ecosystem, ensuring services are planned, delivered, and maintained in a safe and secure way, with minimal disruption. You will utilise your user experience and systems analysis skills, applying them to various methods and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the benefits of Defence Digital's services and products are managed and realised.
- Documenting conceptual models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Helping to define required capabilities and support organisational changes to create operating models that meet Defence Digital’s objectives.
- Acting as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
- Having functional management or people management accountability, or a combination of both.
- Supporting the professional development of the portfolio and community and mentoring others.

Person specification
With a focus on delivering service quality, risk mitigation, secure operations, and the prioritisation of demand to meet the needs of the customers, you’ll need to be self-starting, collaborative, dynamic, and ambitious about excellent customer service, operational support, and mission assurance.
It’s vital that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop, maintain, and enhance working relationships. Engaging with users and stakeholders regularly to help shape their demands with a focus on optimising reuse is crucial.
A collaborative, flexible, and can-do team player is essential in this role, along with someone who feels comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Please note that you will be required to deliver a presentation (maximum 5 minutes) on a subject that will be provided to you in advance of the interview. We will be conducting the sift during the week commencing 02/06/25, with interviews held via Teams during the week commencing 16/06/25. We will try to offer as much flexibility as possible, but it may not be feasible to provide alternative dates for interviews or assessments.
