Job Summary
As a Data Quality Transformation Associate within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO), you will play a crucial role in transforming our data quality management. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the CIB, other Lines of Business (LOBs), and Corporate Functions (CFs) to ensure fit-for-purpose data. This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile team and support one of the Bank’s most significant change programs.
Job responsibilities
- Support the design, delivery and implementation of CIB DQ strategic operating models
- Conduct current state business & data analysis and present strategic recommendations for operational improvements
- Lead proof of concepts, partnering with business & technology teams, to test new DQ processes & approaches
- Define procedures & job aids to support implementation across the CIB
- Document tooling & reporting requirements and partner with technology & intelligent solutions teams to build & implement
- Manage implementation of new or enhanced DQ operating models across the business, technology and corporate functions
- Maintain strong controls in close partnership with internal functions and in accordance with company policies and regulatory changes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 6+ years’ experience in Financial Services with data strategy / project management / business analysis background
- Good understanding of data governance principles & processes, e.g. data quality, data lineage, metadata management, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture
- Confident communicator (both oral and written) - candidate will be dealing with business & technology stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority across LOBs/CFs
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
- Ability to deliver amidst continuous change and in an agile work environment
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in CIB and CDO/Data Quality organization
- Experience in querying database/data stores for data analysis
- Experience in producing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
- Exposure to tools/technologies such as Alteryx/Tableau/QlikView/Python/Informatica/Collibra
