Data Quality Specialist

This role will play an important part in crafting and performing Data Quality Management along the entire data lifecycle as part of our Data Governance efforts! You will be based out of our London hub and work closely with other team members in London and in our Headquarter in Billund.

Core Responsibilities
In collaboration with the team, you will collect or create data models for building data quality dashboards, based on an understanding of the requirements and needs of the organization. You will build and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize and report on data quality. Furthermore, you will contribute to the implementation and execution of Data Quality Management across data areas and support them in improving data quality and increase trust in data. In addition, you will:
- Collaborate with Data Stewards in business functions on improving data at point of creation, to prevent bad data from entering our systems
- Work with Technical Data Stewards in digital product teams on implementing quality assurance alerts on data as we move it/store it on the LEGO Data Platform
- Analyze and profile current state of data, document and track data quality issues and identify possible areas for improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues in Data Office on technology, architecture and processes to ensure Data Quality Management is aligned and integrated with other areas
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of concepts for Data Quality Management and the needed guidelines, tools and trainings
- Act as domain expert on Data Quality Management tools and provide end-user support and guidance
Do you have what it takes?
You are skilled in collecting data and building data models, for the purpose of data visualization dashboards. You have experience in developing and maintaining data quality reports and dashboards (preferably in Power BI) to different organizational groups. You are familiar with data quality analysis, profiling, duplicate checks, outlier detection etc. Ideally you come with hands on experience delivering Data Quality Management in an international context with a complex data landscape and multiple types of data. In addition, you have:
- Business understanding with knowledge of how data quality, data lifecycle processes etc. impacts business performance in large complex organizations
- Understanding of IT- and Data architecture, databases etc. to be able to collaborate with IT & Data Architects, Engineers etc. on technical aspects
- Ability to navigate between business functions and IT/Digital teams
- Understanding of frameworks, best practice, tools and technology for Data Quality Management and how to develop and implement them
It will be nice to have if you have:
- Experience using Microsoft Power BI as a developer
- Experience using Collibra
- Experience with Data Quality tools from suppliers such as Informatica, SAP, Ataccama, Precisely etc.
- Knowledgeable of master data management in SAP
