Core Responsibilities

  • Provide the ownership and co-ordination for development & release activities
  • Operate as a senior custodian of our Data Platform, with performance, security, and data integrity at the forefront of all decisions
  • Drive data projects to completion in a timely manner to support key business objectives
  • Be an integral part of the analytics team and implement, optimize and maintain our data pipeline
  • Identify issues across data sources and ensure data quality checks are implemented
  • Ensuring systems and data models meet business specific requirements and are outstanding

The key to success is to build, maintain and ensure a production-ready data environment. This involves implementing the technical processes and business logic to transform collected data into significant and valuable information. This data should meet the vital quality, governance, and compliance considerations for operational and business usage to be considered trustable.

Prepare automated data pipelines to transform and feed the data into dev, QA and production environments and continuously evaluate, compare and improve data pipelines. This includes design pattern innovation, data lifecycle design and data ontology alignment.

The role provides the opportunity to be co-driving our data agenda in close collaboration with the other team members. In addition, given that the role is solely focussed on LEGO Education (separate BU within LEGO Group), you will be exposed to the full value chain of the business and have the benefits of working in an environment with a flat organizational structure.

 

Do you have what it takes?

You hold a Master of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering or equivalent relevant background.

  • Must be proficient in Databricks, Python, Spark, SQL
  • 2 years of direct experience with developing and maintaining production data pipeline and workflows
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably at a larger corporation
  • Good understanding of AWS cloud environments
  • Experiences with data analysis and data modelling
  • Proven communication skills
  • Takes initiative, recognizes and acts on opportunities
  • Great teammate
  • Able to work and take decisions independently
  • Master English both verbally and written at sophisticated level
