DWP services cover everything from helping children & families right through to supporting relatives of lost loved ones.

We help people find jobs, and support people financially when they are unable to work due to health conditions and make ensure everybody has the money they need to live during their retirement years.

The scale of what we do is outstanding, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.

Your role:

You will manage and coach a small, highly skilled and collaborative team responsible for the provisioning of data access.

You and your team will be managing access requests. You’ll work with teams responsible for data access tooling and build strong relationships with service areas to foster collaboration and an inclusive approach to data management.

This is a broad field – your work cuts across everything we do in DWP Digital - so your work really is varied, interesting and full of value.

If you are looking for a rewarding role, with a great work-life balance, access to professional development and opportunities for career growth, we would love to hear from you.

Essential criteria:

  • An understanding of data security, the different types of data, how data is used and why governance of data is needed
  • An understanding of access management – this could be in data governance, data security, GDPR or data protection
  • Experience analysing information and using a range of evidence to make decisions or presenting recommendations to senior managers
  • Able to work well at pace, to deadlines and changing priorities, whilst paying attention to detail
  • Able to offer positive customer service by understanding the complexity and diversity of customer needs and expectations

You'll join us based at one of our brilliant digital hubs in either Blackpool or Newcastle.

We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly. We operate a hybrid working model with a mix of home working and some time in the office.

In return for your skills, we offer a competitive salary of up to £36,545.

You'll get a generous leave package starting at 24 days, rising to 26 days after one year. Plus all the usual bank holidays, and the option to take extra days off on flexi leave.

We also have a broad benefits package built around your work-life balance which includes:
