The Data Manager will work within the Analytical Partnership area of Advanced Analytics and will manage a team of Analysts who are directly supporting Admiral’s central Customer & Conduct department. They will be working closely with the leadership team of Customer & Conduct, and all the different sub departments that reside within that value stream. They will be responsible for overseeing the management and strategic use of data within the Customer and Conduct area. The role will involve ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of our data, while also working to extract meaningful insights that can inform policy and strategy.
Position
Within Analytical Partnership, our data teams don’t just manage customer relationships; they harness the power of data and insights to guide our stakeholders through their business challenges. Working alongside Admiral’s Customer & Conduct value stream, you will be a strategic and supportive partner, utilising your analytical mindset to provide our stakeholder with actionable insights.
Your role will involve leading a team of analysts that will dive into our wealth of data, extracting meaningful trends, and translating them into strategies that provide tangible insights for our stakeholders. Whether it’s identifying opportunities to optimize customer experience, or to mitigate complaints and improve customer outcomes, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering value through providing data-driven insights.
But it’s not just about the numbers. You’ll also be a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with stakeholders across all of Customer & Conduct to understand their unique needs and objectives. By combining your technical knowledge with your customer-centric approach, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships that will drive long-term success.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the continuous development of the Analysts within your team.
- Managing all stakeholder requests & projects, responsible for 1st Class reporting/insights (Data Storytelling).
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of personalised content (dashboards & reports) for our stakeholders to access via Looker (Target state), Excel (Now).
- Responsible for onboarding all stakeholders to target state MI reporting suite (Looker).
- Ensure report compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Trouble shooting stakeholder pain points via Looker software and iCasework.
- Tracking and analysis of usage data by stakeholder to make informed decisions on how to increase adoption/engagement.
- Owning and building long term relationships stakeholders and ensuring we continue to meet their specific needs (measured by NPS).
Requirements:
- Technical / data skills and knowledge to better understand stakeholder objectives and provide actionable insight.
- Analytical mindset to understand customers unique objectives with data-driven insights and data storytelling.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and customer service skills to build and maintain effective relationships, with both direct and indirect stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and initiative to help develop strategic plans and proactively identify improvement opportunities for Customer & Conduct.
- Comfortable communicating with and challenging senior management.
- Good operational knowledge of the Admiral business, it’s data sources and data use cases.
- Experience in BigQuery, SAS, SQL, MicroStrategy or Looker is highly desirable.

There will be a 1 stage interview.
Contract
This will be a 9 month fixed-term contract.
