About this opportunity
You will perform key activities across the data management lifecycle such as:
- Working with business and platform teams across Consumer Lending to understand their processes and create metadata around their systems.
- Using our strategic metadata repository tool (Collibra) to document information about data and how it flows.
- Fostering engagement between Application teams and Data Management Lab to champion automation in the metadata and data quality space.
- Ensuring data dictionaries are built and managed in Group’s strategic metadata tool (Collibra). Ensuring data quality dashboards are built and managed in approved data quality tools (Ataccama, Event Runner)
- Running periodic attestation reviews of our data documentation, to ensure that it remains correct and accurate.
- Analysing and interpreting data captured in Collibra to provide a coherent view of Consumer Lending position in our compliance with Data policy.

We are looking for someone who understands data and has a grasp of how it is stored, how it moves around the Group and how it is used in business processes. You will have a talent for juggling multiple priorities, and thrive in a challenging environment, demonstrating your ability to collaborate, influence, and improve our ways of working.
You'll be confident and articulate, and will need to have:
- Business awareness and effective communication skills to work effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical colleagues, sometimes at a senior level
- Good technical understanding of LBG systems and data structures. An awareness of Collibra or strong willingness to learn how to use the tool
- Ability to obtain, arrange, process and document data to fulfil business objectives
- Ability to analyse data from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make informed recommendations
- Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy to understand way. Attention to detail and ability to think outside of the box, innovate and provide solutions to business problems
- Ability to take initiative, be bold and proactive in owning your work
What would be desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working in change background
- Ability to write and read basic queries in SQL (or a strong desire to learn it)
- Experience in using Ataccama
