About This Opportunity

Merchant Services (MS) within Business & Commercial Banking provides a diverse range of products and services to merchants from micro to enterprise customers that want to accept payments. The business is an important investment and growth area for Lloyds Bank.

Are you an experienced and motivated Data Insights & Analytics Manager seeking to join a growing team?

You'll work closely with senior partners and will be required to prepare and deliver engaging presentations and reports that convey data-driven insights to non-technical audiences. You'll also play a vital role in helping to evolve the MS business to become more data and insight led and to build out its new data strategy, products and infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

  • Data Analysis: Apply technical data skills and tools to organise, structure data from various sources and perform analytics in a complex data landscape
  • Insight Production and Delivery: Extract meaningful insights from data analytics shaping them into high-quality presentations and reports which are communicated in a clear and concise manner
  • Partner Engagement: Collaborate and team with Product, Marketing, Sales, Business leaders, Technology and cross-functional partners to understand their data needs and draw conclusions on insights.
  • Data Upskilling and Advocacy: Lead efforts to drive data-driven decision making and support data literacy among colleagues, offering training and support to enable effective data and insight usage.
  • Development of Data Strategy and Infrastructure: Shape our new Data Strategy helping to develop optimal dataflow and operating model for insights and to ensure adherence to data governance standards.
  • Insight Best Practices: Upskill and task manage more junior members of the wider MS Data Analytics hub team to support development of commercial insight standard processes (e.g. presentation) within the team and beyond to drive broader enablement.
  • Development of Data Products: Help to support the development of MS data products in collaboration with the Product and wider Lloyds Banking Group teams
  • Agile Working: working in agile methodology ways of working and sprint methodology, collaborate with MS teams and partners to identify data-driven opportunities and challenges.

What You'll Need

  • Strong, demonstrable experience in data analytics, coding and focused on driving strategy and commercial performance.
  • The ideal candidate will have consultancy experience, effectively communicating data insights to senior partners; alongside Merchant Services, payment processing or other Fintech experience.
  • Strong analytics skills with a financial and commercial focus, emphasizing the measurement and delivery of results.
  • A strategic approach to solving problems, meeting customer needs with an ability to think laterally creatively.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and an ability to convey complex insights into presentations, reports and visualisations
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and success in effectively engage and collaborate with colleagues and partners at all levels.

And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful

  • Experience using SQL, SSIS/SSRS, Python programming languages to extract information, provide MI to partners and automating processes.
  • Experience developing and implementing data strategy including the development of data products would be a plus
