Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Legal and General Asset Management (LGAM) as a Senior Data Engineer. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our Finance data strategy, ensuring efficient data sourcing, storage, processing, and maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing strong working relationships with stakeholders across LGAM functions
- Working with Senior Finance Managers and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Designing, analysing, building, and maintaining solutions following architectural frameworks
- Providing technical support to finance teams for data extraction and reporting
- Ensuring data structures are consistent and optimized across various systems
- Creating innovative data solutions
- Documenting technical processes and solutions
- Engaging with Group Data to improve and utilise data solutions, including Cloud solutions
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Experience in data programming and finance data
- Proficiency in SQL and Python and/or C#
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Alteryx) and big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
