Data and Information Sharing Assistant
Salary: £23,121.00- £24,462.00 per annum
Location: Wakefield
Days: Monday – Friday. Working flexibly between 7am and 7pm based in the office and at home.
An exciting opportunity to join West Yorkshire Police’s Information Management team has arisen.
The primary function of this role is to process Data and Information Sharing requests for various stakeholders, on behalf of West Yorkshire Police, to protect children and vulnerable adults, and ensure West Yorkshire Police meet their obligations under current legislation.Main responsibility of the role is to deliver a customer focused data and information sharing service, responding to requests received including statutory gateways, ensuring all requests are processed in line with current legislation and force policy, and that local and national deadlines are consistently achieved.
You will receive and record disclosure requests in a timely manner and you will act as a point of contact for initial queries, advice, guidance in relation to disclosure requests, including internal and external bodies and members of the public.
This work is transactional, and you will be expected to meet office productivity targets.
You will need:
- Willingness to undertake and ability to successfully complete IT courses required for the role.
- Is able to demonstrate research and analytical skills using them to evaluate information as an aid to making an informed decision.
- Is able to demonstrate a good standard of written and verbal communication.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes.
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly in order to support the work of the Department
