What to expect from the role:

You would be working as a Data Analyst alongside our two Business Analysts and our market leading external supplier, supporting the complex data analysis required to facilitate digital changes in Group Tax. You don’t need any experience of working on Tax projects.

Your role would involve:
• Developing high quality analysis and solutions, ingesting data from multiple different sources to build Lloyds Banking Group’s complex VAT solution
• Providing critical customer & transaction data expertise to help shape the approach to solving the problem and supplying new/existing datasets into problem solving solutions.
• Building Data Quality Dashboards and visualising issues & solutions through Power BI

We're an enduring team who moves from project to project together (we don’t disband the team at the end of projects) so we get to know each other well. We also have another couple of new joiners so you would be starting in the team at the same time as others. We also promote growth, everyone in the team is empowered to put aside time each week for learning – either from others or from the range of online courses that are available.

Our very friendly Tax Change team in the Finance Platform is looking for a Data Analyst to join them to work within a team that delivers all technical and process changes required for Group Tax.

Your role would involve working with our Business Analysts and our market leading external supplier, supporting the complex data analysis required to facilitate Making Tax Digital changes (government mandated digitisation of tax recording and reporting within all UK businesses).

We're an enduring team who moves from project to project together (we don’t disband the team at the end of projects) so we get to know each other well. We also have another couple of new joiners so you would be starting in the team at the same time as others.

We work in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment to try to make use of Agile ways of working wherever possible.

What we'd love you to have experience-wise

  • Data analysis experience
  • Experience in SQL scripts
  • Experience in data & problem visualisation Via Power BI

What you'll be doing

About you

Someone who is passionate about both data/analytics with an interest in solving problems through data and translating data into analytics based opportunities to solve problems

We need a proactive individual, as we work closely in a team who trust and support each other to deliver without being micro-managed

Good communication is key as you'll be working with both internal and external development teams & business teams, some of whom are technical and some of who are not
