As a data analyst in Asda Brand you will play a critical role in ensuring that our team have data to support them making decisions that benefit our 18 million customers each week. Working in the Asda brand team means that you will be able to look at data surrounding food safety, quality, product development, innovation, health and sustainability, as well as the performance of our products and our suppliers. We don’t wait to make good things happen so providing our teams with proactive analysis to support the identification of trends and understanding what our customers are telling us is key. We are looking for people that have a good understanding of Databricks, Power platforms and Azure.   • Relevant experience in business intelligence, IT support, data science or analytics.
  • Knowledge and experience of Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, Microsoft Azure and Power Automate.
  • Experience with Databricks and Cloud platform (especially Azure)
  • Knowledge and experience of Python, PySpark and SQL would be a plus.
  • Experience acquiring structured, semi- structured and unstructured data from various sources, including databases, blob storage and API’s.
  • Experience in both producing datasets and reports for analysis and presenting findings and making recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Employ Databricks for collaborative data exploration, manipulation, and visualisation.
  • Engage in all stages of model development, from conception to deployment and monitoring.
  • Communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, find insights from data and through experimentation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A team player who is also capable of working independently when required.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, statistical analysis, A/B testing, and predictive modelling techniques would be advantageous.
